Fare well Dinner...

Hello friends and family! This won’t be a very long post as I cannot be in front of the computer for too long. Focusing more in front of the computer gives more irritation to my eyes. Umm I am little concerned about my eyes lol.

sel roti with alu dam :P
Whatsoever, I am writing this blog post just to pay my token of gratitude to our junior ladies of PCE. Today, we had a fare well dinner by junior ladies to the entire boarder outgoing final year students. The program started with the well come speech by women’s provost, and we were served with sel roti (bread).Ma’am highlighted the importance of sel roti to be served first. The main purpose why we were served with sel roti was that after years of departure, we have to walk on the ring of sel roti and again come back together with lots of motivating thoughts. She said, “We have to meet again in future.”

kkk
:)
We had fun time with our provost;
she is jolly, strict and compassionate with kind and loving heart. We had yummy dinner together. She also awarded the khaddar to all the hardworking councilors. Finally we had photo session, we hugged, wrote the message in the piece of cloths and fare welled everyone present in the crowd.

Thank you all for your ceremonial dinner. We final year students really enjoyed everything that you all prepare for us.

Morning reflection ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I quote Robert Louis Stevenson, "That man is a success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much."  Mr. Stevenson quotes inspired me this morning. We don't always have to measure success by how much money we make or what career we have; there is a much more valuable currency and that is a smile. I think I
Keep smiling!!!
measure success in life by how much happiness one has and for some people money is happiness, but that's not true of everyone. If I had slightly less money but was doing what I liked then I’d be perfectly content. Also, it's very hard for me to understand those people who are "too busy" to have love. Love is the best and worst emotion rolled up into one not so neat package and who wouldn't want to experience that? I sure do. And of course laughter is extremely importan
t for lifting spirits. I love to laugh and just enjoy life, something I’ve been trying to do more of lately.

Enjoy young adulthood because it's momentary and you'll never get it back. Enjoy you're youth while you have it and stop obsessing about the future (something I am entirely guilty of). Look at the sunset and put on some sad music. Take a long walk through nature. Smile at someone. Do random acts of kindness. Get a coffee with friends and just chill. Go hiking. Take a road trip. Visit your friends, miscall your parents daily; if you are students, if not make a call every day, they did lot to you. Parents are and were heroes in your life. Do not forget to wish your best friend birthday; if u failed then he/she will be hurt. Talk to a stranger, Live like a goddess. Read comics and eat chocolate ice cream. YOYO... Jump around. Laugh. Love. Live life to the fullest.
HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

Keep Jing!!!

Last class... ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

3 Noon on Nov 18th  2013 was technically my last class in college life!! I have truly enjoyed life to the fullest here and I am now in a transition period between College and Corporate life. And to add more zing to the whole thing are the 8th semester exams which willheldon 29th of Nov!! What can I say … This too will pass???LOL
Well well,  Life is full of memories; pleasant and unpleasant. Some of the memories are forgotten easily. But, there are some memories that go a long way in life. They are ever green in mind. We can recall them anytime, anywhere. First day entering inside the class in the college and the last day out off the class in college were always counted and remembered in one’s life.
My first day in college were still green in my mind. I will never forget it. It is important for many known and unknown reasons. It was a wonderful day indeed. I entered the class with loads of embarrassment and total blush, in front of unknown friends and unfamiliar tutor. However, as the time passed by everyone became friends and everything became unfamiliar to familiar. It’s truly heartbreaking to leave our beautiful college campus, the loved one, knowledgeable tutors and the most attached persons in ones life. However, as someone truly stated that, “meeting and departing are the part of life.”
Everything looked strange to me today, though very familiar. I had strange feelings these days. It was going to be my last day in college very soon. RIP!!

Today we had last class with ma’am Hari, she made a speech. She inspired us with her experiences. She aslo expressed good wishes for all of us.
In the mean time listening to my tutor, I was sadden and my heart became heavy. This memory will remain green in my heart forever. I won’t be able to scrape these memories from my mind. However, still there will be last meeting on Wednesday because we are planning to give tea party to our entire tutor who imparted us with their wisdom.

National seminar…

Today, two days National seminar on Multi grade teaching and learning came to an end, which is organized jointly by the Paro College of education and Department Of Curriculum and Research Development; funded by UNICEF. The theme of the seminar was, “To promote quality education in our country.”  General director of ministry of education Tsewang Tashi was the chief guest on first day and His Excellency honorable Education minister Mingbo Dykpa was the chief guest on second day, accompanied by the representatives from UNICEF, education specialist, Curriculum specialist, Director of DCRD (co-host), members from DCRD, DEO’s, ADEO’s, principals and teachers from different schools, faculty members of Paro College, NFE instructor, students from multi grade schools and graduating students-teacher of Paro college of education attended the two days ever national seminar.
In simple term, multi grade means, teaching two or more grades of students in one class.
The main goal of multi grade teaching in our country is to achieve the goal of education for all.

  •  Educating for GNH( Gross National Hapiness).GNH addresses that if the child in the school are happy in learning, then that's GNH.(Karma Jurmy, lecturer Samtse College)

  •       Multi grade schools will also support and allow the over aged students to move in the higher grade.
  •   If there are less than 25 students; then only we can apply the multi grade class.
First day seminar started with the marchang ceremony and followed by the welcome speech by the director general Tubten Jamtsho, Paro college of Education. The day was beautified by the paper presenters from nook and cranny of the country. They presented the over view of the multi grade teaching in Bhutan, their experiences teaching in the multi grade classes, challenges they faced and views from the multi grade students. We also entertained with the delicious lunch. That’s the shortest over view of the first day seminar.
Similarly second day, crammed with presentations from different multi grades specialist and question answer session, till lunch.
After lunch, we received the chief guest His Excellency the Sherig Lyenpo. After that we had the merchang ceremony, followed by the welcome address by the director DCRD (co-host of the seminar). We the student-teachers are inspired by the speech given by the education minister. "A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others." This quote by an unknown author embodies every aspect of what every teachers at all School level do for each of their students.
We the teachers, plays a pivotal role, where the life of students will be revolving around. We are trained for four years in the college to become a good teacher. We are trained in different mode to handle students in different situation. Thus, Teaching has always been a big part of my life. Today I am ready to go to any kind of schools; be it high school or multi grade school, I  am sure that I  can handle it and I  am ready to teach them. I have always known that teaching could be a career where I can influence the lives of others.
When I look at each individual teacher, I try and think of  what has inspired them to become a teacher? It seems like each one has a different reason but it always comes back to the same concept. It's because they love what they are doing. They love to inspire and impact students. They have that true passion for their subject area, the school, and most of all their students.
To conclude, these knowledegeble seminar not only taught us about the multi grades teaching and learning, however, seminar also imparted us with the values needed in the live of teachers.
I  will upload the photoes later. So, keep visiting dear readers!!! :)

I don't wanna be Jack :P

Hello friends, I have neglected my poor little space for a while right...so shoot me lol. My life for the past week has been too academic… I seriously need some fun! (Inspired by the cliche: 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy) I don't wanna be Jack lol... I definitely gonna watch movie tonight. I am ready to watch Krish3. YAY! It's winter. Even though I have a lot to do this winter I will try to relax. I promise to be chill this winter guys. There are so many things I want to do, like preparing for RCSE(Royal civil service examination), take a trip with my friends and Learn dzongkha.

cold weather makes me happy :)
Anyways, I just wanted to comment on the cold weather and why it makes me happy. The reasons are:
1. I like looking fashionable in nice pink scarf.
2. I actually like the formal uniform and for some reason winter feel like an appropriate time to wear it every day.
3. I get opportunity to wear fashionable coats.
4. The crispy air makes me feel awake and lively.
5. View of snow on the mountain top.
6. Sitting in front of heater with snacks.

Winter is the best season that I love the most. Hey winter reminds something, this winter will be unusual for me as I will do away with my studies and get into real field. Surely it will be a bitter sweet moment for me.
Bitter because; as the year comes to a close I've been thinking about my senior year and then going off from college. I finally realized what this will mean for my friendships. Most of my friends will be leaving college.
With my bestie Yangsoo..
They say, FRIENDS of schooling days are those who you can never forget… If Life was good at Dagana, you were one of the leading reasons behind it… If life was beautiful at Damphu you were the biggest reason to me. If life was fun here at Paro College you were the main reason behind it.  I know I haven’t nurtured our friendship enough..but U are an irreplaceable part of my life.. from running away from the hostel during lunch break, to sharing every little pocket money we had, eating chillis,  talking late nights , making fun of others (haha I remember Compound eye and chara”)by locking the room, do you remember how fan we are to
watch the action movies of Jet Li? We used to run from hostel and watch the movies. Eating marie biscuits without chewing during study hours. Dancing to our little secrets… too small to all the mischievous things we did , haha and those horlicks during exam times, nothing hidden between us.. I won’t say time changed, nor u or me… Maybe those moments were to be remembered like I did today and smile at every moment we lived life was so much fun being with u… As I look back now, those two girls sitting on the first bench..have lost within us… I would never really thank you for what u have given me in my life.. you are part of my heart.. Love u loads...I wish I could go back in time and live those moments again…
I will miss you terribly and I can't help but to think with dread that our close-knit relationships will disintegrate and I really don't want that to happen. I understand that we might grow a part a little; it's only natural when people don't see each other for a while their relationships aren't quite as close. However, I'm definitely not ready to give up my family in the form of friends. So, a shout out to my friend...I love you and we have to keep in touch!

Its my graduating day L !!

Today is the day that I've been waiting for since March 20th , 2010.  <-- the day I started college...
Well it has been 4 years and I literally cannot believe it.  Life goes so fast hm? Today is the day that I become an adult....first off, that sounds like death just waiting to happen.

But seriously, I am excited to graduate from Paro College. It has been a fun four years and I have seen many changes within me during these years.
College is a time where we grow and become who we really want to be in our life.
In the past, when I saw graduating students walking around the campus and taking photos, I was filled with admiration and hope I could be one of them one day. However, when it was happening to me, I was surprised that I was not as excited as I expected and even felt a bit sad. It seemed that it was yesterday that I first arrived at College but now it was time for me to leave this lovely place. L Worry not asI mentioned earlier we still got a month to be in the college with lot of academic works due. I will use this short period of time rightly...
Happy graduation day to all of the graduates around the world!

Happy 5th Coronation day...

Source:facebook.
Today is also the day which is very special for us, November 1st is the day Where his majestry the Fourth King of Bhutan, the father of present king abdicated the throne to HM the king Jigme Gesar Namgyal Wangchuk... It is a national holiday in Bhutan. Each year majestic celebration is expected to continue across the country.
As Bhutan celebrates the 5th Coronation Day of His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, I would like to join the nation and offer my heartfelt felicitations to Your Majesty for your love, compassion and kindness. May Bhutan experience further peace and happiness under your kind and wise leadership.
Long live our King!
Happy Birthday ParoCollege :P...

It was another milestone for the Paro college of Education to be observed its 37th Foundation Day. As per the history, Paro college began as a teacher's training center (TTC) for pre-school care, which was formally inaugurated on 1st November 1975, with 15 trainess and a demonstration school at the Rinpung Campus.  DG Thubten Jamtsho is the present director of the mother college.
