It's been too long since my last post... life in College sure does keep me busy writing, preparing, thinking lol. Okay, I hope you're all well and that you're not melting in your work like me but rather doing wonderful alright. So, Yes. Where have I been? Well. I did literature review on action research and I've finished doing the IT exhibition  which was wonderful .The ICT faculty members and the students of ICT from year one to four organized the ICT exhibition in the three computer labs. The main aim of the exhibition was to develop and show case teaching learning materials using the IT skills. The exhibition was inaugurated by the College Academic Dean who was accompanied by a team of faculty from the National Institute of Education in Singapore. Lecturers and the student teachers came to witness the show. The exhibition was the first of its kind in the college. It was all very much worth it, and thank you very much to those who came along to the events to say hello. It was lovely meeting you Sir Passu famous blogger of Bhutan and Yee Jenn Jong sir, who was the   Special guest from Singapore, your presence made our exhibition worth truly. Passu sir, you are my inspiration to start blogging. At first I didn’t know what to post and what to write in my blog but later after going through the Passu sir’s dairy, I came to know that blogging is fun. We can express our feelings in our blog. You know when ever, I am content I blog, whenever I feel low, I used to blog but this days due to me keeping myself busy with the college activities, I couldn’t  update my blog. However, I shared whatever the important events happened in our college right. Please don’t say, “NO” lol.  There may well be a couple more events later on in the year; I'll post about those on here nearer the time.
I did quite a huge  task alright and you know, I am excited to share snaps of my latest events that happened in our college. Worry not more on that later. For now I'd like to share some wonderful snaps of the day.

Thrue Bab" The Blessed Rainy Day...celebration.

Paro college of Education celebrated the thrue bab today. The court yard of PCE was filled with decoration…the program started exactly at 12 am and went till morning at 6 am. Director General was the chief guest of the celebration and the celebration was also attended by the lecturers and student- teachers from the college… Every class performed the cultural show, some of them sang a solar song, performed drama and there was many plays to entertain the guests as well as the interested student teacher.
It is believed that on Thrue-Bab (blessed rainy day) all water on earth turns holy. God is believed to shower Its blessings over all water on earth. And if we take bath by the blessed water it is believed our body will be cleansed of sins, diseases and negativity.

Today my sis Kencho kept bucket of water strewn with flowers, believing that the heavenly shower will fall in the water. So; that we can take bath by the blessed water, it is believed our body will be cleansed of sins, diseases and negativity as I already mentioned in above pargraph.
Currently, we are preparing food with different items of curry. We were so excited to taste a different dish on this occasion. We have a long list on our menu and everything is mouth watering… Wanna taste?? LOL
Till then, enjoy your day, and Once again Happy thrue to everyone.

It’s time to bath in a holy water and clean one’s sin. :P

International Democracy Day- 15 September

Democracy is a universal value based on the freely expressed will of people to determine their own political, economic, social and cultural systems and their full participation in all aspects of their lives.
While democracies share common features, there is no single model of democracy.
The 2013 International Day of Democracy was graciously celebrated on 15th September in Paro College of Education organized by the Institute for GNH studies, and Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan in collaboration with UNDP Bhutan. The theme of the day was “Empowering Youth Voices and Participation”.  Dasho Kuenzang Wangdi, Chief Election Commissioner was the chief guest. The celebration was also attended by Dasho (Dr.) Pema Thinley, vice chancellor of Royal University of Bhutan, Christina Carlson, UN Resident Coordinator, Members of Parliament, team from GNH Studies, other distinguish guests from various sectors, teachers and students of Paro valley, and faculty members and  student-teachers from Paro College of Education.
The celebration began with marchang ceremony and opening remarks by Dasho (Dr.) Pema Thinley, vice chancellor of Royal University Bhutan.
We also witnessed skirts, tribute songs and dances performed by the students from Thimphu, team from Labsey-nenshey and teacher trainees of Paro College of Education to mark the day graciously.
The subject of this year's theme -- Strengthening Voices for Democracy- is essential for the long-term success of democracy. All citizens in all nations need to fully understand their rights and responsibilities, especially like a country like Bhutan that have recently moved to democratic societies. Should understand questions such as, “Why should I vote?”, “How can I influence my leaders?” “What can I reasonably expect from my elected officials?” or “What are my constitutional rights?” need to be addressed through civic institutions, in the free press and in classrooms. It is only with educated citizens that a sustainable culture of democracy can appear.

Sick Sick Sick...

Every year a new round of viruses hits me. I have been sick. It's been awful. We know how we feel, when we are coughing in front of crowds. Really cold never come at a good time. I tried anything to get better faster. But antibiotics won’t work for viruses. Over the counter I tried with the cough and cold remedies. I remembered my mom applying Vicks as a cough remedy. I tried with that as well and I ate vitamin tablets and drank lots of hot water. However it’s not working on my part. Again, my friend Yanzom, gave me the herbal remedy brought from Himanchal… uffs any of it didn’t work… Today we attended orientation on Science Curriculum. It was a embracing day for me to attend  the orientation as I was coughing, never the less I attended the orientation which provided me with lots of wisdom, strategy, knowledge and so on.. Thank you DCRD members for your information. Which are very much useful and helpful to us…
However I look cute like a girl in a picture... when I am sick... :)

I am good for nothing!!!

Yesterday I had a severe headache that’s why I had to go to bed early. Now am feeling better, but toothache and running nose still with me... Really, I feel good when I get care from my friends during my sickness. Thank you Kencho and Yangzom, for giving me the earnest care.
Mummy made a call early in the morning saying, she had a dream of me. Mom and dad are the best person in my life who always provides me with immortal love and care.
Ufffs today , I have realized I'm not really good at anything. I don't know why I didn't notice this before, but it's very clear now. And I desperately want to be good at something. I want o be good at reading or writing, or photography, or scripting, or designing, or animation, or socializing, or hell ROFL. I  even want to be good at self expression like the clothes I wear. But really, all I can do is try and fail. And it's so frustrating.

Hehe…

Life As We Know It...

Sometimes in class or when I wake up in the morning the realization I will never have years like I had in high school ever again just hit me. I was so anxious for high school to be over and join in the college, after joinng the college, I just drempt of the future plan where I wasted most of my time by dreaming, without much enjoyment, but now I'm completely regretting that. I was so busy looking towards the future that I feel like I've neglected my present. I could have enjoyed school and learning so much more than I did. I am completing my studies with in three months of time.

I did have fun in high school though with lots of laughs with my friends, brilliant teachers who made my days special and colored my reality with bits of sparkles and light an experience that is decorated in my memory and my heart forever and realized I was a strong woman. However, i always thought that  I could have enjoyed school and learning so much more than I did.

Today I grew up so much it's remarkable to see. I was a timid, shy girl when I started high school and now I'm a graceful and gracious, sometimes-loud, emotional, normal, and narrow-minded young woman in love with life.

I really don't want to leave the place where I made all of these discoveries: my high school and the world around it. I just can't believe how much I have matured. So, after my graduation I am planning to go to Damphu and serve for three years, after that I will go to Dagapela Middle Secondary School and serve there three years, Daga Higher Secondary School for three years and then finally I will settle in Paro where today I am doing my degree. I was a changed person and I felt worldly (even if I wasn't) and adult-like after attending my higher secondary school and college.. But, I must leave my comfort zone, the pocket of happiness and warmth of my current life and make something out of my adult years. Ahhh....I wish I could have more time as teens... so, that I can jump, play, shout, sing, dance and laugh so hard with friends. Where people around us will neglect us, saying they are still kids. :)

Wherever you are, it's your friends who make your world.

If I had one gift that I could give you, my friend, it would be the ability to see yourself as others see you, because only then would you know how extremely special you are.

AM Post :)

I have realized that I have never had a post in the morning, so this will be it. I will also attach a quote to think about this fine Thursday morning: "Clocks slay time...time is dead as long as it is being clicked off by little wheels; only when the clock stops does time come to life." William Faulkner
You know, this week seem light and I could see we are freed all most all the times. I feel truly happy. Do I sound like a teenage girl, but so what… ROFL.. It’s human nature, whenever we get a leisure time to spend, then we will linger on heaven... Cheer up for being you and for your life!!! J
Life is so interesting. I feel like I am in a time where things are coming in full circle. It's nice to feel this way, but I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I know all most all of my friends are in young adulthood. So, I urge you to enjoy your young adulthood because it's fleeting and you'll never get it back. Those who you are still in teens, enjoy your  youth while you have it and stop obsessing about the future(something I am entirely guilty of). Look at the sunset and put on some sad music. Take a long walk through nature. Smile at someone. Do random acts of kindness. Get a coffee and snacks with friends and just chill. Take a road trip.  Make a head wreath. Celebrate every Day. Talk to a stranger on a plane. Live like a goddess.  Jump around. Laugh. Love. Live life to the fullest… Uffs, “Take a road trip,” reminds me of something, we planned to go to Donkola(Holy place) alright… It seems plan have been getting disappeared. I will make it alive, worry not… Umm I will decide and I will fix the day to go for the holy trip. No worries, I will bring you the story, description and snaps of our trip :).
SMILE now lol…

Bezz 4rn 4eva!!!

Today I realized that this life is what I make it. No matter what, I am going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is I get to decide how I am going to mess it up. Once many girls are my friends - they'll act like it anyway, but I just remember, some come, some go. Betrayal by false friends is not a problem for me. The ones that stay with me through everything - they're my true best friends. I never want to let go of her. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. I cannot be sad just because I failed once, that doesn't mean I am gonna fail at everything. I will hold on and always, always, always I will believe in myself and make my self-esteem high. because if  I don’t trust myself then who will trust you, sweetie :P  LOL…I will always be strong enough to face any kind of situation… we are human and we have equal right to fight… So from today, I will keep my head high, chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.
To laugh often and love much…

We played basketball semi final today... :P

As we wind down the week, we all had a wonderful Monday.  Today was all about bonding as we played sports, performed, and laughed.  We started our day with the morning prayers. Speeches were delivered by two of our friends, beautifully presented. During our Morning class we learned the features of the course lab3; we did many activities within two hours of time... In the afternoon, we came in for an indoor lunch to beat the heat. After that, we had a basket ball match with our 4PCA.  Basketball- our friends learned how to play defense and how to play as a team.  We worked on shooting, passing, and listening to each other on the court.  It was a very successful day in basketball. Every one of my friend showed so much confidence and we are very proud of how we applied our skills.  .  Today's rally was energetic as the boys tried to out cheer the girls, but it was the girls whose spirits were just a little bit higher…

Hehe we played the basketball for fun… if we could score nine basket then we definitely have reached to final… but poor us couldn’t have luck lol.. :P ….

Snaps for you... :)

Trip to Dungtse lhakhang

Today, as we didn’t have classes. We friends decided to go to Dungtse lhakhang(Temple), to offer butter lamp. We offered butter lamp and came back. I really enjoyed basking in the peacefulness and soothing quietness of the temple. What I realized was, everything that occurs in the temple is uplifting. It speaks of life here and life beyond the grave. I mean to say, It is a bridge between this life and the next. It speaks of the importance of the individual as a child of God. It speaks of the importance of the family and the eternity of the present relationship.
Let me share brief history about the temple, “The monastery was built in 1421  by an eminent Tibetan lama named Thangtong Gyalpo (1385–1464), also known as Chagzampa, who is remembered for his building of some eight iron bridges in Bhutan. His reason for building a temple in chorten form is because it is said to immobilize demons and proclaim the victory of Buddhism.
In 1841, the 25th Je Khenpo, Sherab Gyeltsen restored the temple with the aid of local villagers, thanking the donors by carving their names on tree trunks which forms the columns of the ground floor

So next time on, when I am mentally feeling a tad low, I will just step into a temple, to get my spirits and mood, all refreshed and I will enjoy the relax in the calmness and comforting silence of the temple.

Snaps :P

 I love you Baba…

My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me. You are the reason of my existence. What I am today is all your hard work that you toiled on me.

If there is any person that I love from my heart then it is none other than you. You are my role model, guide, and teacher and of all these you are my best friend.  You understand me best like none others. You cheer up my happiness and success and stand to wipe my tears when I cry. You are best gentle man that I have ever met in my life and you will be best for eternity.
Wish you a very happy father's day.
I love you baba.
